Deadleg Removal

Hot and cold water system deadlegs is the term used to describe lengths of pipework with little or no flow caused by low use outlets, plumbing faults and system changes that occur over time. Deadlegs can also be a feature of pumped hot water distribution systems where faults occur in the return pipework.

Watertec provides a range of services to overcome these problems and the legionella risk they present including:

Fitting flow regulated booster pumps to vented non-circulating hot water systems exhibiting low flow at distant outlets

Improving circulation pump performance and fitting balancing valves to circulating hot water systems

Modifying or replacing pipework runs

Removal of redundant pipework and fittings
